Jeffrey S. Nahmias, MD
Dr. Jeffrey S. Nahmias joined PAA in early spring of 2010.  Dr. Nahmias is Medical Director of the New Jersey Newark Beth Israel Hospital Sleep Fellowship Program and is one of the foremost authorities on sleep disorders in the nation.  He is the Co-Director of the Sleep Disorder Center at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey.

He is former president of the New Jersey Sleep Society and has authored over sixty articles about sleep disorders.  Dr. Nahmias graduated with highest honors from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and Cum Laude from S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Sleep Disorder Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine and is a member of the New Jersey Sleep Society, Association of Professional Sleep Societies and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Chirag V. Shah, M.D., M.Sc.
Dr. Shah recently joined PAA from the University of Pennsylvania where he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Pulmonary and Critical Care. He specializes in both in-patient and out-patient adult pulmonary medicine, as well as in-patient critical care medicine. His clinical experience encompasses a wide range of pulmonary/critical care disorders including: Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, emphysema, interstitial lung disease/lung fibrosis, asthma, and pulmonary embolism.

Dr. Shah has a Masters Degree in Clinical Epidemiology and has had various research grants and done extensive clinical research in ARDS and sepsis. He has presented his findings at national and international conferences and published research articles and book chapters.
